- I'm a Modern Orthodox Jew going through infertility. My husband and I have been trying to conceive since January 2005. At this point, we've had one miscarriage, one ectopic pregnancy, one chemical pregnancy, and way too many failed cycles.

Don't look at it as another baby lost. Remember, a baby needs 2 good parents. If your husband wasn't comfortable with it, you weren't going to change it. Would it be fair to a child to have a father who didn't really want him?
i meant lost to me, not lost in general, but I do see your point.
Sorry that you're husband said no. He might change his mind about adoption in the future. Men seem to need time to chew these things over before making a decision.
